Terry said that this rug reminded him of a desert landscape. .
Its a rag rug that has plain weave picks alternating with Twill.
Claudia showed this delightful piece.
Such fun and it shows great skill in weaving the shapes like that..
Katy did a reverse of dyeing. She stenciled a solid color and removed (bleached!) the areas not covered. A view of the Brooklyn Bridge is the landscape.
Here it is with a piece of the original blue woven cloth. some change, huh!? .
Carol S. created this table runner as a comission for a neighbor who loves green .
