Night and Day

Terry made this table runner using silk yarn from Japan in the pattern. The yarn was brought to Terry by his personal trainer who vacationed there a while back .
The light and dark (white and black) represent night and day. The circular patter represents the sun and moon.
I will say it again, Thomas alway surprises. The tiny piece show the sun floating in the sky when lit from the back.

And the moon (night) shows when there is no backlight. The sun was needle woven.
Katy had this piece that showed the light changes between night and day.
We really love the shift from light to dark. Another great piece.
Carol was very busy weaving these yoga mat straps on an inkle loom. Really wonderful colors.

And they represent night, dusk, day and dawn. Carol says they can be used to carry beach umbrellas too.
