Coney Island
March 2014
"Coney Island" was the challenge given by Terry. As usual the responses were very different.
Some chose to interpret the locale. Others the night time sky. All the results are very intriguing.
Terry wove this Coney Island Beach Towel.
Sand is represented by the tan, the sun is the yellow, the sea and sky are the blue and multicolored are the
amusement rides.
Darby did this wonderful "draft dodger" for her front door. There will be no more breezes sifting
through with this little fellow.
All the patches were done on a Weaveit loom and then hand sewn together. His name is "Patches". Such whimsy.
Ronnie made this wonderful scarf that she said represents one of the amusement rides. Can you guess? The Cyclone!!
We all said it could be wave on the water as well.
Barbara obviously went for the lively colors and sparkle in Coney Island.
Wonderful beadwork on the fringe is a real stunner.
