"Let ther be light"
January 2018
"Let there be light" was the challenge suggested by Terry. Photos below are given the order that the works were presented.
These two pictures were the result of having to clear out a relative's house.
The metalic yarn used in the pieces reflect the light that Claudia found inspiring.
Ronnie certainly caught the spirit of light. As usual her superb craftsmanship and artistry shows.
What a wonderful addition this is to all of her creative work.
Carol needed a cover for a window in her new studio. This beautiful screen will give her the privacy and yet let in light.
.
Huck lace in linen is very special and will work beautifully for the task. Congratulations Carol on the new studio.
Carie captured light in this lush yardage. What for? Almost everyone thought a "top" would be best.
Exquisite color and drape would make this ideal. Beautifully done Carie.
Leila contiues to astonish us with her use of color and texture. And everything here works so well together.
Altoghether a very special piece. Leila is fearless.
Terry's response is this silk scarf in huck lace. It goes from darker at one end to "light" at the other.
This was Terry's first attempt to meet the challenge. It was supposed to look like light through a window. Leno between the panels opened it up to light.
Darby certainly captured light with this spectaclar rug. The colors bounce light all over.
Really superb show. Talent and technique all show in this lovely weaving.
