OUR GROUP CHALLENGES

Change Fiber and Weave
February 2015

"Change Fiber and Weave" was the challenge put forth by Ronnie. We all thought our results were not up to what we expected.

Ronnie mixed her usual rayon chenille with another yarn for this scarf. She doesn't like it but we do.

The ombre look is really very handsome.

Liz is a knitter but she put some weaving into this stunning piece.

What fun! And the weaving works very well.

Terry did an exercise and many different fibers all in white and then space dyed it.

Somehow it just didn't work. More of the fibers were expected to NOT take the dye.

Jane wove this terrific pieces on a pin loom. Talk about a change in fibers, these are really wild.

She currently is weaving on a rigid heddle loom but has an 8 shaft that she can use. These are a lot of fun.

Darby had different take on the challenge. She chose to change to a fiber she doesn't ordinarily use. Nice use of leno

True this is not her usual rug but it is a great addition to her oeuvre.

Leila had no problems meeting this challenge. She NEVER uses just on yarn in either her warp or her weft.

Another stunning success..
