OUR GROUP CHALLENGES
Resurrection
October 2018
"Resurrection" was the challenge suggested by Claudia. This time she will start us off.
Claudia resurrected some old patterns that she has done in the past. Several samples show how different the same threading can be with different yarn and differnet treadlings.
The finished scarf is truly sumptuous. Congrats Claudia.
There is nothin like spring color to represent resurrection to Terry.
The cotton table runner was meant to show spring grass and the joy of flowers after a long winter.
Darby chose an design that she has woven before to resurrect. This was from "How Green Was My Valley" response to a movie challenge.
Really fantastic work!
Ronnie found these works that she resurrected from a class at F.I.T. that she took some years ago.
She doesn't recall how she did them but WOW. Aren't they wonderful.
Leila brought back this early work of hers. Early work maybe but all her signatures are there. A fearless choice of yarn and pattern.
Still the results are her usual fascinating work.
Carol, our very talented seamstress, created this top out of some yardage she wove a while back. The piecing of it makes it super interesting.
Don't we wish we all had the talent to make our own clothes? Superb.
