OUR GROUP CHALLENGES
Nursery Rhyme
December 2024
"Nursery Rhyme" was the challenge suggested by Terry. He was discussing the possibilities for challenges with his trainer, Ryan B. And Ryan suggested this. So why not!.
Terry chose a Nursery Rhyme that is usually in the singular. But with the results of his work it should be in the plural. So:
Mary had some little lambs
Their fleece was white as snow
Every wher that Mary went The Lambs wer sure to go
Here is a close up. Summer and Winter pattern. As usual with all the images on this site are clickable for a larger view

Claudia Found some print yardage that had images of Mother Goose Rhymes. And with that she made this great rug for her bathroom.
Love the subtle way the colors blend. She was careful to make sure parts of the print appeared where she wanted it to show.
Katy did a variation on "Mary had a little lamb". In this case it was "Veronica had a little Dog". This large piece was based on a photo she had of a family member.
Here is a close up of of the eyes. Terrific to see how the multiple yarn strands blend to form a unique color.
Carol does not frequently work in wool. And her nursery rhyme?. Baa Baa Black Sheep
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir
Three bags full
She really made these colors jump. The yarn is from a stash of Eleanor K. Carol bought her loom from Eleanor a few years ago.
Our Queen of chenile, Ronnie, surprised us once again with her wonderful work. She is truly a singular artist.
Her nursery rhyme: Jack and Jill went up the hill
The hill was steep and slippery
And that is why they tumbled down
And lost their pail of water.
With Thommas we can expect the extraordinary. And he alway scores. Everyone was in awe with this spectacular piece.
The nursery rhyme that inspired this:
It's raining! It's pouring!
The old man is snoring!
He bumped his head
And stayed in bed
And didn't get up in the morning.
