OUR GROUP CHALLENGES
Inner Motion
October 2024
"Inner Motiion" was the challenge suggested by Carol. She found it in a book by a tapestry artist and thought the title would work for us.
Katy took a course with Madeline van der Hoogt. This was a sample she wove on a compter controlled loom. There is certainly a lot of motion here.
Such rich colors too. Would love to see how this was done.
Claudia did this very lovely piece awhile back. She was doing painted warps in rayon. This was part of a longer warp.
Here it is in the frame she put it in. Incredible!
After some health problems Ronnie is back with us.Yay! This is the answer to an earlier challenge, "Doodles".
And she certainly made doodles simply by playing with changing the lift order of the shafts.
And another piece by Ronnie. This for the challenge "A Step Further".
And the blocks do step right up the length of the piece. Ronnie is the queen of chenile.
After a couple of faulty starts, Terry finally came up with this. He felt it looked like water in motion.
Here is a close up. Not likeing to use multiple shuttles in this type of weaving, it proved difficult to complete.
