Glam Grunge - February 2020
"Glam Grunge" was the challenge suggested by Claudia. It all started with when she decided to dye her hair. The color was called "Glam Grunge" and this became her theme. It was a terrific shade of purple. She will start us off.
Look at all the wonderful colors in this special scarf.
Lots of mixed yarn types which she worried about but which really blend beautifully. Another great success!
Leila as usual is fearless when it comes to color and pattern. This has just the right balance of everything.
This is fascinating how she used twining to accent the start of the scarf. Really tricky yarn used to do it too. Like we say, fearless.
Carol made this lush chenille scarf. Just have to love the colors and pattern in those stripes.
It would be such a pleasure to wear this. Dazzling colors to chase away a dismal winter. A real winner.
Terry felt there was nothing more worthy of the "grunge" title than is homespun. This is Blue Face Leicester. Weft is the same but hand dyed.
The "Glam" is the sparkling sequins in the two ends.
Ronnie hits a home run again with this superb scarf in chenille. She has truly mastered the medium. I think we should now call her "The Queen of Chenille".
I am sure we all agree. "Queen of Chenille" it is.
Color in Darby's rug is the answer to the challenge. Here it is in situ chez elle.
This is a close up of the pattern. Exquisite.
