January 2022
"I am finally going to do something with that yarn I have had forever!" was the Claudia's challenge.

These sumptuous yarns are from Claudia's trip to Paris. Beautiful stripes. And well worth the wait to be used in the scarf

The colors work so well together and Claudia said it was very warm.
![](images/challenge_forever/challenge_forever_ronnie1.jpg) Ronnie is the Queen of chenille. This was given to her by our friend Judy. Judy has taken a break in weaving but has had this yarn for a long time.

And in colors Ronnie doesn't normally use but look how splendidly she has put then together.

When Carol got her Macomber loom the sale came with sixty-five (65!!) cartons of yarn that had been in storage with the loom. How long is anyone's guess. Carol thinks this may be silk.

In any case this is a specatacular work.

Terry had a number of yarns from his stash that have been around for a loong time. The warp yarns (wool) came from he doesn't remember where. The weft is a cotton slub blend that was a gift from Darby.

With novelty yarns in the weft it is sometimes best to to keep the weave simple so Terry chose a 2/2 twill.
