March 2015
"Twills and More Twills" was the challenge given to us by Sue. She was not here but we rallied on.

Barbara chose to do as many variations on one threading as she could and came up with these great book marks.

I think they look fun all lined up like soldiers here.

Terry did hand towels but the results were a bit to fine for that so they became napkins.

Again it is all variations on treadling for one threading.

An alternate to the response Terry did a set of mug mats. One problem was that the blue carpet warp ran into the white warp.

Everyone thought they still lookd just fine.

Ronnie came up with this superb scarf. It is an advancing twill with lots of variations she was able to introduce in placing the weft.

As usual she showed her tremendous skill. Another winner from Ronnie.

Darby made this wonderful hot pads out of all wool. She usually works with a linen warp but the wool here works well.

These look like some good ideas to be translated into her signature rugs, don't you think?
![](images/challenge_twilltwill/twilltwill_leila1.jpg)
Leila did wonderful things with this scarf. It was her usual fine work.
![](images/challenge_twilltwill/twilltwill_leila2.jpg)
I think we would ALL like to be possesor of one of her works.
