There is sadness, there is peace!
April 2021
"There is sadness, there is peace!" was the Leila's challenge. .

Leila chose the colors for sadness. But the incredible thing is the use of clasped weft WITH a twill.

Not easy to do but, oh so skillfully done her. Congratulations Leila

Claudia wove this commemorative book marks in memory of her father who passed away this year. The colors are recognition of the ring he always wore.
![](images/challenge_peace/challenge_peace_claudia2.jpg) There will be one given for everyone who will finally meet in person after a long separation due to the pandemic. Lovely.

Carol created this elegant shawl in sober colors. What a wonderful design.

Wonderfully elegant. We are certain some lucky person will find peace in wearing this.

Ronnie played a little joke saying this was a sad weaving. We don't think so. It is really beautiful.
![](images/challenge_peace/challenge_peace_ronnie2.jpg)
And it had the lushiousness of Ronnie's elegant chenille work.

Terry felt the colors alone were sad enough. Pattern is pretty sober too.

It is his own variation on a advancing twill pattern. It was woven in fine bamboo yarn.
